The Book Haul You Really Need to See

I have fallen behind on my book hauls this last month. I am pretty sure I won’t get to them, but 2020 is about to go out with a huge bang with some amazing releases and some awesome bargains I found. So let’s get talking about the books that are about to topple my TBR!

I have a mixture this time, the below are the books I purchased.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Bargain Books | Goodreads Blurb : I got a great deal with this PB. I have been seeing it all over the net and a few friends have recommendations, so when I found it at Bargain Books for R60 I just couldn’t leave it behind.

10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World by Elif Shafak

Bargain Books | Goodreads Blurb  : Another one I have been hearing about for ages and Bargain Books truly came through with the pricing on their sale tables.

The Ickabog by JK Rowling

Bargain Books | Goodreads Blurb  : I am truly hesitant on this one. I purchased it and it does tear me in two, I am intrigued but I am fully aware that I am fueling and paying the canon of the beliefs that I don’t believe in. I am undecided fully but the package is absolutely gorgeous.

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes by Suzanne Collins

Bargain Books | Goodreads Blurb  : Ok so this one is purely a young Kelly coming through, I loved the Hunger Games trilogy, how can you blame me for grabbing this one? I had to!

The lovely people at Penguin Random House SA were so very kind to send me the below books from their press highlights. I am so very excited to get stuck in to these!

Sisters by Daisy Johnson

Penguin Random House SA | Goodreads Blurb :  I really enjoy a teen angsty story, but this one seems to have a thrilling twist to it. It’s slim and while we are avoiding people, this one seems perfect for those bite size weekend reads!

Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi

Penguin Random House SA | Goodreads Blurb : I have been searching for a detective novel that isn’t Agatha Christie, or a crime novel (yes there is a difference). I have been seeing this around the web lately and I am so ready to pour a gin and sink my teeth into it.

I am ready to get stuck in, and I’ll keep you all updated on how I am going through these. If you have read any of the above please let me know – I am keen to hear what you thought.

Happy Reading!
